My name is Magdaline Mbugua. I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2016 and the journey was tough. I was so determined to beat this cancer and get my life back. My doctor told me that if I was to get total healing my mindset was going to be key. So I was ready to do anything to survive. I knew I needed to change my lifestyle and also wellness was key: starting with my state of mind. I followed Carol Njoki closely on Facebook @ Wellness with Carol Njoki and listened keenly on what she had to say. I knew she was the person to help me with this journey. She made me understand the relationship between my physical health, my mindset and my emotions. Like clockwork, I began my journey to improve my wellness. I knew wellness was my responsibility and I hang on to it. I was able to accept my situation and then work towards my healing by eating healthy, exercising, keeping a healthy mind and dealing with my emotions. Four years down the lane, I am cancer free, with a clean bill of health thanks to Carol teaching me to listen to my body and treat it well. I have learnt the dos and don’ts to a healthy lifestyle.
